ABOUT SLEEP FAIRY
Karen, Certified Gentle Sleep Coach & Consultant
I have two wonderful daughters—Isabelle, who is seven years old, and Amélie, who is three. The first four months after Isabelle’s birth were incredibly challenging. She cried constantly, and as first-time parents with no experience, we assumed this was normal. We frequently heard, "You just have an alert and wakeful baby."
As the weeks passed, the dark circles under our eyes grew darker. In addition to her frequent crying, Isabelle developed significant sleep difficulties. We tried everything—baby carriers, strollers, feeding, singing, and holding hands—but nothing seemed to help. She would often nap for just 30 minutes at a time, three times a day, and was clearly overtired. Unfortunately, nights weren’t much better. By the time she was nine months old, we were completely sleep-deprived and knew we had to make a change.
We started reading multiple books on sleep training, but nothing seemed to work. We also couldn’t bear the thought of letting her cry it out—it simply broke our hearts. After extensive research, we discovered gentle sleep coaching, a method that supports healthy sleep without leaving a child to cry alone. It sounded like exactly what we needed—if only we had found it sooner!
This method helped us establish a consistent sleep rhythm, transition Isabelle to her own bed in her own room, and within days, she was sleeping through the night.
I was so amazed by the results that I knew I wanted to help other families experience the same transformation. There is nothing more rewarding than helping parents and children get the restful sleep they deserve.
